Chastity was born and raised in Oregon but has made Montana her home since 1994. She has one daughter, Arrianna, who recently turned 18. Chastity’s biggest passion outside of work is traveling; she has been to every state except Alaska and Hawaii as well as traveled extensively within three other countries. She spends most of her free time with her family and friends, paddle boarding, snowboarding, hiking, reading, and playing with her dog Penny.
Chastity previously worked with seniors and low-income individuals and families as the Program Director for the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and TCE (Tax Counseling for the Elderly) free tax services covering Montana and parts of Idaho. Leading this initiative is where she discovered how passionate she is about taxes, tax laws, and helping citizens understand, at a basic level, how taxes work. She believes that too many people are intimidated by tax and tax codes and wants to empower clients with a better understanding of how they are affected within the scope of taxation.
Chastity passionately believes Sir Francis Bacon’s philosophy that “knowledge itself is power.” This pushes her to seek out opportunities to expand her knowledge base which is a lot of why she pursued a career within the tax industry – it’s almost impossible to know everything and what you do know changes often due to the constant changes within the tax code. She values her JCCS team whom she can rely upon to aid her in providing the best possible service to each client’s needs.
