Jim Galipeau defines his role as: listen carefully to clients and ask questions so they can arrive at their own best decisions. Many of his small-business clients simply need a trusted advisor to help them through a decision process. While his clients are the experts in their own businesses, of course, Jim operates as a sounding board, asking important questions to help clients arrive at more informed answers. And he educates as needed to make sure clients understand their information. Presenting information that it is complete, true, useful and understood is key to his client work, no matter the size of the company or its stage of growth.
For some clients, Jim and his JCCS team provide bookkeeping and accounting services. For others, that team expands to offer tax strategies, pension plans, strategies for future investments and more.
An avid outdoorsman and resident of Missoula for 50 years, Jim stands behind his passion for his community and its economic development by actively working with several local nonprofit organizations. He has served on several nonproft boards of director, and he – along with JCCS colleagues – have long provided nonprofits with accounting help and, as needed, crash courses to help board members understand what the organization’s financial information really means.
Jim loves boating, fishing and otherwise hanging out on Flathead Lake. He also balances his professional time with work on various building and landscaping projects at home.
