Before joining JCCS, one of Nancy Kieffer’s former tax managers didn’t understand why she spent time with a client during a tax appointment counseling her on what tea her grandmother should be drinking and what dietary changes might be helpful. But Nancy knows that whatever is important to a client is important to Nancy. Throughout her 30-year career as a business owner and tax preparer, Nancy has provided guidance both personal and financial to help her clients succeed in money and in life. There is no client comment or question too small to be pulled into Nancy’s wheelhouse.
After graduate school, Nancy founded a B2B consulting business in New York City with just one client. That client soon brought her another client, and it didn’t take long for her to need staff to handle client projects. Her success came from the strong bonds she developed with her clients. Nancy would often say “projects come and go but clients are forever.” Even today, she retains close friendships and connections with many of her former clients.
At JCCS, it didn’t take long for Nancy to implement her “do everything possible” strategy to help a new client. One late Saturday afternoon, she received a call on her cell phone from a MT realtor who was referred by one of her existing ranch clients. The realtor needed help for an out-of-state couple who were trying to buy a multi-million-dollar ranch in MT and whose mortgage application was denied because their financial projects and budgets appeared “weak.” Nancy spoke with the couple for almost an hour on Sunday and by Monday had produced “To Do” lists for the couple, for the realtor, for the seller, and for other members of the JCCS team so that this couple can apply with another lender but end up with a different result and help them achieve their lifelong dream. . . returning to a MT ranch.
