Meet Marcy Taylor: Accountant, Explorer, Teammate

When Marcy Taylor started her undergraduate studies at Campbell University in North Carolina, she wasn’t sure what direction she’d go. She enrolled in an accounting class and was hooked.
“I took an accounting class and realized I was actually pretty good at it,” she said.
She went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and then worked at a public accounting firm in North Carolina doing tax preparation for individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and trusts and estates.
Then, her husband, who serves in the Air Force, was reassigned to a base in Great Falls so they packed their bags and headed west. They have lived in Montana since December 2024.
“We really enjoy Montana and have gotten into the outdoors, exploring the state and national parks. We explored Glacier National Park and have a trip to Yellowstone planned.”
When she’s not hiking or walking along the river with her husband and dog, Marcy is serving clients for JCCS. She started work at the firm’s Great Falls office in August and says it’s a right fit.
“It feels right. I love the people here. I can tell everybody works together as a team, and they like to have fun.”
In her second week on the job, Marcy joined the Great Falls team at a JCCS-sponsored Great Falls Voyager baseball game where she got to know colleagues outside the office.
So, what’s next for Marcy? She’s working toward earning a CPA and growing in the firm.
“I’d like to meet more clients and get to know JCCS’s existing clients, and I’d like to help other team members grow. My goal is to be the best accountant I can be to our team and our clients.”
