From Licorice to Ledgers: Katie’s Path to Accounting

Katie Clouse’s journey into accounting is both unique and relatable. Despite initially wanting to pursue marketing, Katie found herself drawn to accounting, a profession deeply rooted in her family. With a grandmother who was a bookkeeper, a mom who was a CPA, and several other family members in the field, Katie realized that accounting was in her blood. After completing her business degree at the University of Montana and her accounting courses online through MSUB, Katie joined JCCS as an intern in 2016 and quickly transitioned to a full-time role.

Building Personal Connections

One of the most rewarding aspects of Katie’s role at JCCS is the personal connections she has built with her clients. Many of her clients are long-term family friends, including her childhood babysitter, pediatric dentist, and even the doctor who delivered her. These relationships have made her work deeply personal and fulfilling. Katie’s ability to connect with clients on a personal level is a testament to the trust and reliability that JCCS fosters.
