From the Appalachian Trail to Kalispell – Meet Daniel Bass

JCCS team member Daniel Bass in Glacier

When Daniel Bass and his wife decided to relocate to Montana, they weren’t just chasing scenic views—they were looking for a place to grow professionally and personally. With a passion for hiking, fishing, and community, Kalispell quickly became their top choice. And when Daniel researched accounting firms with strong reputations across Montana, JCCS stood out.

Now serving as a Senior Accountant in our Kalispell office, Daniel brings a unique blend of experience, curiosity, and warmth to the team. After earning his bachelor’s degree from The Citadel and his master’s from Purdue Global, Daniel became a licensed CPA in Oregon—and now also holds his Montana license.

Before joining JCCS, Daniel worked at a growing firm in Bend, Oregon, where he completed three tax seasons and built lasting relationships. His background in sales sharpened his communication skills, and his love for learning keeps him engaged in the ever-evolving world of accounting.

“I’m excited to keep growing,” Daniel says. “Every year brings new challenges and opportunities to learn. That’s what makes this profession so rewarding.”

Outside the office, Daniel is an avid hiker—he even completed the Appalachian Trail in 2018—and he’s looking forward to exploring Glacier National Park and the surrounding trails.

At JCCS, we’re proud to welcome professionals like Daniel who value both excellence and balance. If you’re looking for a career in accounting that supports your growth and lifestyle, we’re hiring across Montana. Come join a team that values relationships, community, and the great outdoors.
