JCCS Celebrates 80 Years of Serving Communities in Montana and Beyond

Seven locations. Over 100 team members employed. Eight decades of trusted accounting and advisory services.
Great Falls, MT (June 11, 2026) – JCCS is proud to celebrate its 80th anniversary, marking eight decades of dedicated service to individuals, businesses, and communities across Montana and beyond.
Since its founding in Great Falls in 1945, JCCS has grown from a small, local practice into the state’s largest locally owned public accounting firm. Today, with seven offices statewide and a team of more than 100 professionals, the firm continues to offer a full range of tax, audit, and accounting services, while staying true to the relationships and values that have defined it from the beginning.
“The decision to grow and become a multi-office firm started with the founders. That decision had a lot to do with ensuring our sustainability and relevance, and it’s what got us to where we are today,” said Jerry Lehman, former JCCS shareholder.
Throughout its history, JCCS has remained deeply connected to the communities it serves. From supporting local nonprofits, businesses, and agricultural operations to guiding individuals and organizations through important financial decisions, the firm has consistently helped Montana thrive.
While the firm has been fortunate enough to grow, it has always remained committed to delivering thoughtful, personalized service to the communities it calls home. Each office and employee brings a strong understanding of the local landscape, allowing the firm to combine statewide expertise with a local, people-first approach.
“For 80 years, our firm has been built on the belief that public accounting is, first and foremost, a relationship-driven profession. As we look ahead, we are committed to thoughtfully integrating new technologies and continually evolving our services to meet a changing world—while never losing sight of what matters most: the trust of the people we serve and the strength of the relationships we’ve built with our clients, our communities, and one another,” said John Stevens, shareholder and CEO.
Looking ahead to the next 80 years, JCCS remains focused on evolving alongside its clients—embracing new technologies, expanding capabilities, and investing in its people—while staying grounded in the principles that have guided the firm since day one.
This milestone represents not only a celebration of JCCS’s history but a continued commitment to showing up for clients, communities, and future generations across Montana. Learn more.
