Ronald Schafer (Ron) was born in Minot, ND and his parents moved to MT 6 months later. As a graduate of Glasgow Senior High, he attended Carroll College graduating with an accounting degree. Ron has been in Bozeman since 1984. He worked for a regional accounting firm, established Schafer & Co., PLLC February 1997, and joined JCCS PC in 2023. Ron has worked extensively with a diverse group of clients, many for over 35 years, especially small businesses. Growing up in a family owned business, he saw the challenges that small businesses faced which fueled his interest in small businesses. In working with small businesses, Ron enjoys helping those clients with effective tax and business planning, including working closely with those clients as they start, grow and improve their businesses.

Ron enjoys outdoor activities including camping, boating, hiking, and riding the trails on his side by side in Montana or the Arizona desert with his wife Linda. In addition, Ron and Linda both enjoy traveling.
